Theyyacharithram
ഭൂത ദേവതകള്‍: തെയ്യാട്ട രംഗത്തെ ഭൂതാരാധന തെയ്യങ്ങളാണ് വെളുത്ത ഭൂതം, കരിംപൂതം, ചുവന്ന ഭൂതം എന്നീ തെയ്യങ്ങള്‍. ഇവയൊക്കെ ശിവാംശ ഭൂതങ്ങളാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ ദുര്മൃതിയടഞ്ഞ പ്രേത പിശാചുക്കളില്‍ ചിലതും ഭൂതമെന്ന വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ വരുന്നുണ്ട്. അണങ്ങു ഭൂതം, കാളര്‍ ഭൂതം, വട്ടിപ്പൂതം എന്നിവ ഈ വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ പെടുന്നു.
യക്ഷി ദേവതകള്‍: യക്ഷി എന്ന പേരിലുള്ള ദേവതയൊന്നും തെയ്യത്തില്‍ കാണില്ലെങ്കിലും പുരാസങ്കല്‍പ്പ പ്രകാരം ചില ഭഗവതിമാരും ചാമുണ്ഡികളും യക്ഷി സങ്കല്‍പ്പത്തിലുള്ളവയാണ്. ഉദാഹരണം വണ്ണാന്‍മാര്‍ കെട്ടിയാടുന്ന കരിഞ്ചാമുണ്ടി. തോറ്റം പാട്ടില്‍ പറയുന്നത് പൈതങ്ങളെയും കോഴികളെയും പിടിച്ചു ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഭീകര ദേവത എന്നാണു. വേലന്‍മാര്‍ കെട്ടിയാടുന്ന പുള്ളിചാമുണ്ഡി ഇതേ സങ്കല്‍പ്പത്തിലുള്ളതാണ്. കരിഞ്ചാമുണ്ടിയുടെ കൂട്ടുകാരിയായ പുള്ളി ഭഗവതിയും യക്ഷി സങ്കല്‍പ്പത്തിലുള്ള മറ്റൊരു തെയ്യമാണ്‌.
കാമന്‍, ഗന്ധര്‍വന്‍ എന്നീ സങ്കല്‍പ്പങ്ങളിലും തെയ്യങ്ങള്‍ കെട്ടിയാടാറുണ്ട്.
വനമൂര്‍ത്തികള്‍ : മേലേതലച്ചില്‍, പൂതാടി ദൈവം, പൂവിള്ളി, ഇളവില്ലി, വലപ്പിലവന്‍ എന്നീ തെയ്യങ്ങള്‍ വന ദേവതകളാണെന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. പള്ളക്കരിവേടന്‍, പുള്ളിപ്പുളോന്‍ എന്നീ ദേവതകള്‍ കാവേരി മലയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങി വന്നവരാണെന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. കാട്ടുമടന്ത, ചോന്നമ്മ എന്നീ സ്ത്രീ ദേവതകളും വന ദേവതാസങ്കല്‍പ്പമുള്ള തെയ്യങ്ങളാണ്.
Bhuta Deities:
White Bhutam, Karimputam and Red Bhutam are the demonic deities of the Theyatta scene. All these are Shivamsha demons. But some of the dead ghosts also fall under the category of ghosts. Anangu Bhootam, Kallar Bhootam and Vattiputham belong to this category.
Yakshi Deities:
Although no deity named Yakshi is found in Theiyat, according to Purasangalpa some Bhagavatis and Chamundis are of Yakshi concept. An example is Karinjamundi, which is used by Vannans. Thotam is said in the song to be a terrible goddess who catches and eats chickens and chickens. Pullichamundi, which is tied by Velans, is of the same concept. Karinchamundi's friend Pulli Bhagavathy is another Theiya in the Yakshi concept.
Theyas are also associated with the concepts of Kaman and Gandharvan.
Vanamurthys :
Melethalachil, Poothadi God, Poovilli, Ilavilli and Valapilavan are believed to be forest deities. The deities Pallakarivedan and Pullipulon are believed to have come down from the Kaveri mountain. The female deities Kattumadanta and Chonnamma are also theyas with the forest deity concept.
