ARYAPOOMALA BHAGAVATHI ആര്യ പൂമാല ഭഗവതി
ആര്യ പൂമാല ഭഗവതിയും പൂമാരുതന്‍ തെയ്യവും :
മരക്കല ദേവതയായ ആര്യ പൂമാല ഭഗവതിയുടെ ആരാധന ഉള്ള സ്ഥലത്ത് കെട്ടിയാടിക്കുന്ന തെയ്യമാണ്‌ പൂമാരുതന്‍ തെയ്യം. എന്നാല്‍ ആര്യപൂമാല ഭഗവതിക്ക് കെട്ടിക്കോലമില്ല. എഴിമലക്കടുത്ത തീയ്യരുടെ രാമന്തളി കുറുവന്തട്ട അറയിലാണ് ആര്യപൂമാലയും പൂമാരുതനും ആദ്യമായി കുടിയിരുന്നത് ഇത് കൂടാതെ തലയന്നേരി, രാമവില്യം, വയലപ്ര, തലക്കാട്ടു, അണീക്കര, കുട്ടമംഗലം എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും ആശാരിക്കാവായ മണിയറക്കാവിലും മൂശാരിക്കാവായ വടക്കന്‍ കൊവ്വലിലും ഈ ദേവതയ്ക്ക് ഇരിപ്പിടമുണ്ട്. തീയ്യരുടെ ഭരദേവതയാണ് പൂമാല ഭഗവതി. പാട്ടുത്സവവും പൂരക്കളിയും ദേവീപ്രീതിക്ക് വേണ്ടി പൂമാലക്കാവുകളില്‍ നടത്താറുണ്ട്‌. തന്നെ ഭജിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് മനം നിറഞ്ഞു അര്‍ത്ഥവും ഐശ്വര്യവും വാരിക്കോരി കൊടുക്കുന്ന മാതാവാണത്രെ പൂമാല ഭഗവതി.
ഒരിക്കല്‍ ആര്യപൂമാല സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗോദ്യാനം കണ്ടാസ്വദിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ദേവസുന്ദരികള്‍ വന്നു പുഷ്പ്പങ്ങള്‍ പറിച്ചെടുക്കുകയും ദേവമല്ലന്‍മാര്‍ വന്നു അത് തടയുകയും ചെയ്ത സമയത്ത് പൂമാല ഭഗവതി ആ ദേവ മല്ലന്‍മാരിലോരുവന്റെ സഹായം ചോദിച്ചു. ശിവാംശ ഭൂതനായ ഒരു മല്ലന്‍ വിടര്‍ന്ന പൂവില്‍ വായു രൂപം ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ദേവി അവനു പൂമാരുതന്‍ എന്ന് പേര് നല്‍കി തന്റെ സഹോദരനെപോലെ കരുതി. ആര്യപൂങ്കാവനത്തിലെത്തി. മലനാട് കാണാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ച പൂമാരുതന്റെ ആഗ്രഹ നിവൃത്തിക്കായി കടല്‍ കടക്കാനുള്ള മരക്കലം (ചെറുകപ്പല്‍) ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാനുള്ള ഉപായം അന്വേഷിച്ചപ്പോളാണ് ആരിയ രാജാവിന്റെ മകള്‍ പൂരവ്രതമനുഷ്ടിച്ച് പൂങ്കാവില്‍ വന്നത്. ഈ സമയം ഭഗവതി അവളില്‍ ആവേശിക്കുകയും അവള്‍ ക്ഷീണിതയായി വീഴുകയും ചെയ്തു. പ്രശ്നം മുഖേന കാര്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ രാജാവ് വിശ്വകര്‍മ്മാവിനെ വരുത്തി മരക്കലം പണിയിച്ചു. ആ മരക്കലമേറിയാണ് പല അഴിമുഖങ്ങളും പിന്നിട്ട് പൂമാരുതനും പൂമാല ഭഗവതിയും എഴിമലക്കടുത്ത് രാമന്തളിയില്‍ എത്തിചേര്‍ന്നത്‌.

Arya Poomala Bhagavathy and Poomaruthan Theyam:
Poomaruthan Theiyam is a Theiyam built in the place of worship of Arya Poomala Bhagwati, the goddess of woodworking. But Aryapoomala Bhagwati has no problem. Aryapoomala and Poomaruthan first resided in Theiyar's Ramantali Kuruvantatta aara near Ezhimala, apart from this the deity has a seat in Thalayanneri, Ramavilyam, Vayalapra, Thalakattu, Anikkara, Kuttamangalam, Manirakavaya Maniarakkava and Musharikava Vadkan Kovval. Poomala Bhagavathy is the chief deity of Theiyars. Pattsavam and Poorakali are held in poomalakkavs to worship the Goddess. Poomala Bhagwati is the mother who gives meaning and prosperity to those who worship her.
Once when Aryapoomala was enjoying the celestial garden, the Devasundaris came and plucked the flowers and the Deva Mallans came and stopped it, Poomala Bhagavathy asked for the help of one of the Deva Mallans. A mallan, the Shivamsha demon, was wearing the form of Vayu in a blossoming flower. Devi named him Poomarutha and considered him as her brother. Reached Aryapoongavan. Puravrata, the daughter of Arya king, came to Poonkao with a desire to find a way to make a wooden boat to cross the sea to fulfill the wish of Poomarutha who expressed his desire to see Malanadu. By this time Bhagwati was excited about her and she fell down exhausted. The king, who understood the matter through the problem, brought Vishwakarma and built the wooden pot. It was on that tree that Poomaruthan and Poomala Bhagavathy, after crossing many estuaries, reached Ramantali near Ezhimala.
