കിഴക്കൻ കാവ്‌ ഭഗവതി
ഈ തെയ്യം അമ്മ ശക്തിയുടെ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ദേവി ദുർഗ്ഗാഭഗവതിയുടെ പ്രകടനമാണ്. കിഴക്കൻകാവ് ഭഗവതി തെയ്യം കഥയനുസരിച്ച്, ഒരു പഴയ തറവാട്ടിലെ ഒരു കുടുംബാംഗത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അവൾ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുകയും വീടിന്റെ കിഴക്ക് ഭാഗത്തുള്ള പുണ്യവൃക്ഷത്തിൽ അവൾക്ക് ഒരു ആരാധനാലയമോ ആരൂഢമോ നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. അവളുടെ അനുഗ്രഹം ലഭിക്കുന്നതിനും ശാന്തതയും ശാന്തതയും നിലനിർത്തുന്നതിനുമായി പ്രതിവർഷം ഒരു തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടുന്നു. അവൾക്ക് ശരിയായ ആരാധനയും ബഹുമാനവും നൽകാത്തത് പ്രദേശത്ത് ദോഷങ്ങൾക്ക് കാരണമാകുമെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

According to the story of Easthanikav Bhagavathy Theyam, she appears before a family member in an old ancestral home and is given a shrine or arudha in the sacred tree on the east side of the house. A Theyyam is tied annually to seek her blessings and maintain peace and tranquility. Not giving her proper worship and respect is believed to cause evils in the area.
Theyyam is performed during the day and movements are restricted due to the unusually long headscarf.
Theyyam is worshiped for peace, health, prosperity and wish fulfillment.
