മാഞ്ഞാളമ്മ
ഈ തെയ്യം അമ്മ കാളിയുടെ പ്രകടനമാണ്. മാഞ്ഞാളമ്മ തെയ്യം കഥയനുസരിച്ച് ഗർഭിണിയായ രയരമംഗലം അടിയോടിയുടെ ഭാര്യക്ക് അമ്മയുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് പോകാൻ ആഗ്രഹമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കാളിയുടെ ഉഗ്രരൂപത്തെ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്ന നരമ്പിൽ തറവാട്ടിൽ നിന്നുള്ളവളായിരുന്നു അവൾ. അടിയോടി ഭാര്യയെ പോകാൻ അനുവദിച്ചില്ല, നെല്ല് കൊയ്ത്ത് കഴിഞ്ഞ് പോകാം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. അവൾ ഉറച്ചുനിന്നപ്പോൾ അടിയോടി അവളെ ചവിട്ടുകയും ആ സ്ത്രീ ഉടൻ മരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. കാളി ദേവിയുടെ മുന്നിൽ സ്ത്രീയുടെ അമ്മ കരഞ്ഞു. സ്ത്രീയുടെ തുടർച്ചയായ യാചനയും കരച്ചിലും കാളിയെ ഉണർത്തി ഉഗ്രരൂപം ധരിച്ച് രയരമംഗലത്തേക്ക് കുതിച്ചു. രയരമംഗലത്ത് ദേവി നാശം വിതയ്ക്കുമെന്ന് അറിയാമായിരുന്ന ദേവി മുച്ചിലോട്ട് ഭഗവതിയുടെ സഹായം തേടി. മുച്ചിലോട്ട് ഭഗവതി കാളി ദേവിയെ നല്ലവാക്കുകളാൽ തടഞ്ഞുനിർത്തി അവളോടൊപ്പം സ്ഥാനം നൽകി. അങ്ങനെ അവളെ മാഞ്ഞാളമ്മ തെയ്യമായി ആരാധിക്കുന്നു. മാഞ്ഞാളം എന്നാൽ അമൃതോഴുക്കും വാക്കു എന്നും അർത്ഥമുണ്ട്.
ജീവിതത്തിലെ പ്രതിസന്ധികളെ തരണം ചെയ്യാൻ മാഞ്ഞാളമ്മ തെയ്യം പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. രോഗങ്ങൾ നേരത്തെ സുഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനും ശത്രുക്കളെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനും അവൾ പ്രീതിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

Manjalamma
This Theyam is a manifestation of Mother Kali.
According to the Manjalamma Theyam story, the pregnant wife of Rayaramangalam Adiyodi wanted to go to her mother's house. She belonged to the Narambi clan who worshiped the ferocious form of Kali. Atiodi did not allow his wife to leave, saying that he can leave after harvesting the rice. When she persisted, the thug kicked her and the woman died instantly. The woman's mother cried in front of Goddess Kali. The woman's continuous begging and crying awakened Kali and assumed a fierce form and rushed to Rayaramangala. Knowing that Devi would wreak havoc in Rayaramangala, Devi Muchilot sought Bhagavathy's help. Muchilot Bhagwati stopped Goddess Kali with kind words and took her place with her. Thus she is worshiped by Manjalamma Theiya.
Manjalamma Theiyam prays to overcome difficulties in life. She favors early healing of diseases and defeating enemies.
