ഒയോളത്ത് ഭഗവതി
ഇത് ഭഗവതിയുടെ ഉഗ്രരൂപമാണ്. ഒയോളത്തു ഭഗവതി തെയ്യം കഥ അനുസരിച്ച്, അവൾ അസുരന്മാരെ തോൽപ്പിക്കാൻ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു, പക്ഷേ അവളുടെ അനിയന്ത്രിതമായ ക്രോധം പ്രദേശത്ത് അസ്വസ്ഥത സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു. ഒരു തീവ്ര ഭക്തനും അവൾ ദർശനം നൽകിയിരുന്നു. അവൾക്ക് ശരിയായ ആരാധനാലയം നൽകുകയും അവളുടെ ശാന്തതയും സൗമ്യതയും നിലനിർത്താൻ വർഷം തോറും ഒരു തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടുകയും ചെയ്തു.
സാംക്രമിക രോഗങ്ങൾക്ക് നേരത്തെയുള്ള ശമനം ലഭിക്കുന്നതിനും ആഗ്രഹ സഫലീകരണത്തിനുമായി ഒയോളത്തു ഭഗവതിയെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നു.
തെയ്യത്തിന് തനതായ ശിരോവസ്ത്രം (തിരുമുടി) ഉണ്ട്, അവളുടെ അരയിൽ നാല് അഗ്നിജ്വാലകൾ ഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
കണ്ണൂരിലെ പയ്യന്നൂർ പുത്തൂർ കൊട്ടിയൻ വീട് ശ്രീ ഒയോളത്ത് ഭഗവതി കാവിൽ എല്ലാ വർഷവും ഡിസംബർ 10 മുതൽ ഡിസംബർ 14 വരെയാണ് തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടുന്നത്.
ഒയോളത്തു ഭഗവതി ശങ്കര നാരായണ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നും കൊറ്റിയൻ വീടിലെ സന്തതിയുടെ കൂടെ തറവാട്ടിൽ എത്തിയതിന്റെ ലക്ഷണം കണ്ടു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ പ്രശ്ന ചിന്ത നടത്തുകയും ദേവിയുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം അറിഞ്ഞ മുറയ്ക്കു തറവാട്ടിലെ പടിഞ്ഞാറ്റ മുറിച്ചു പള്ളിയറയാക്കി ദേവിയെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു… പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു മുഖമുള്ള ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ദേവി ശക്തി സ്വരൂപീണിയായാണ് സങ്കല്പം… ഒയോളത്തു ഭഗവതി ശക്തി രൂപീണിയാണ്.. പടിഞ്ഞാറ്റ പള്ളിയറ ആയപ്പോൾ തെക്കിനിയും വടക്കിനിയും ഉണ്ടായി…ഒയോളത്തു ഭഗവതിയുടെ കോലം മൂത്ത മണക്കാടൻ ആണ് കെട്ടുന്നത്.
Oyolath Bhagwathi
This is the fierce form of Bhagwati. According to the Oyolathu Bhagavathy Theyam Katha, she appeared to defeat the Asuras, but her uncontrollable fury created unrest in the region. She had also given darshan to an ardent devotee. A proper shrine was given to her and a theyam was tied annually to keep her calm and meek.
Oyolathu Bhagwati is worshiped for early relief from infectious diseases and wish fulfillment.
Theiyat has a unique headdress (tirumudi) and four flames are attached to her waist.
Theyam is celebrated every year from December 10 to December 14 at Payyannur Puttur Kotian Veedu Sri Oyolath Bhagavathy Kavi in Kannur.
When Oyolatu Bhagavathy Shankara Narayana temple started to see the sign of her arrival at the family home with the offspring of Kotian house, he thought about the problem and as soon as he knew the presence of the goddess, he installed the goddess in the west side of the house.
