PADIKUTTIYAMMA പാടിക്കുറ്റിയമ്മ:
മുത്തപ്പന്‍ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അമ്മയാണ് പാടിക്കുറ്റിയമ്മ എന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. മൂലംപെറ്റ ഭഗവതിയായും കൊട്ടിയൂരമ്മയായും ഈ ദേവത ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. വളരെ നാളുകളോളം മുത്തപ്പനെ പോറ്റി വളര്‍ത്തിയത് ഇവരാണ്. അത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥാനം പാടിക്കുറ്റിയമ്മക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്നു. പറശ്ശിനിക്കടവിനടുത്ത കോടല്ലൂരിലെ പാലപ്രം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലാണ് പാടിക്കുറ്റിയമ്മയുടെ തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടുന്നത്‌. മീനമാസത്തിലാണ് ഇവിടെ ഈ തെയ്യം അരങ്ങേറുന്നത്. എരുവശ്ശിയിലെ ശ്രീ പാടിക്കുറ്റി മഹാദേവി ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്‌ മറ്റൊരു പേരുകേട്ട ക്ഷേത്രം.
PADIKUTTIYAMMA:
Pathikutiyamma is believed to be the mother of Muthappan God. This goddess is worshiped as Bhagavathy and Kotiuramma. They are the ones who raised my grandfather for a long time. Because of that, Patikkuthiyama gets the place of God. Patikkuthiamma's Theiyam is enshrined in the Palapram temple at Kotallur near Parasshinikadu. This Theyam takes place here in the month of Pisces. Another famous temple is Sri Patikutty Mahadevi Temple in Eruvassi.
