പാലക്കി ചാമുണ്ടി തെയ്യം
ശൈവ ഭൂതഗണങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ശക്തമായ തെയ്യമാണിത്. പാലക്കി ചാമുണ്ഡി തെയ്യം കഥ പ്രകാരം മഹാദേവ ശിവൻ ഒരു യജ്ഞം നടത്തുകയും അതിൽ നിന്ന് ഏഴ് ദേവതകൾ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു. യജ്ഞത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ട ദേവതകളിൽ ഒരാളായിരുന്നു പാലക്കി ചാമുണ്ഡി. ഒരിക്കൽ അവൾ ദാഹം ശമിപ്പിക്കാൻ പരത്തൂരിലെ പരമ്പരാഗത വീട്ടിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു, ഇവിടെ പാതി സിംഹത്തിന്റെ രൂപത്തിൽ പശുക്കളെ കൊന്ന് തിന്നുന്നതായി അവൾ കണ്ടെത്തി. അവൾ ശക്തിയുള്ള മൃഗത്തെ ഓടിച്ചു.
പ്രദേശവാസികൾ ദേവിയിൽ സന്തുഷ്ടരായി അവളെ ആരാധിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അവളെ ശാന്തയാക്കാനും അനുഗ്രഹം നേടാനും വർഷം തോറും ഒരു തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടുന്നു.
ചാമുണ്ഡി തെയ്യത്തിനൊപ്പം മുക്രി പോക്കർ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു മുസ്ലീം തെയ്യവും അവതരിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

Palakki Chamundi Teyyam
This is a powerful theory associated with the Shaiva Bhutaganas.
According to Palaki Chamundi Theyam Katha, Mahadeva Shiva performed a yajna from which seven deities appeared. Palaki Chamundi was one of the deities who appeared from the yajna. Once she appeared in the traditional house of Parathur to quench her thirst, where she found herself in the form of a half-lion killing cows and eating them. She drove the mighty beast.
The locals were happy with the goddess and started worshiping her.
A Theiyam is tied annually to appease her and to obtain blessings.
A Muslim Theiyam known as Mukri Poker is also performed along with the Chamundi Theyyat.
This Theyyam can be seen from 27th to 28th October at Tharavad Devasthanam Temple in Kasarkot Chittarikkal Kampallur Fort.
