പാലിച്ചോൻ തെയ്യം
ഈ പ്രദേശത്ത് ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരാളുടെ തെയ്യമാണ് ഇയാളുടേത്, നാടോടിക്കഥകളെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ളതാണ് കഥ. ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ ദേവൻ സഹായിക്കുകയും ഒരു കുടുംബം തന്റെ നിസ്വാർത്ഥ പ്രവർത്തനത്തിലൂടെ ദൈവകരോ വിശുദ്ധനോ ആയി മാറുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ് പാലിച്ചോൻ തെയ്യം ദേവന്റെ കഥ. വ്യക്തിക്ക് ഒരു ആരാധനാലയം നൽകുകയും വർഷം തോറും അവന്റെ സ്മരണയ്ക്കായി തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
ശാന്തമായ ഒരു തെയ്യമാണ് പാലിച്ചോൻ തെയ്യം. അതുല്യമായ ശിരോവസ്ത്രവും രൂപവുമുണ്ട്. തെയ്യത്തിന്റെ യോദ്ധാവിന്റെ ഗുണം സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ആയുധം തെയ്യത്തിൽ ഉണ്ട്. പാലിച്ചോൻ ദൈവം തെയ്യത്തിനൊപ്പം കരിക്കോലോൻ ദേവൻ തെയ്യവും കാണപ്പെടുന്നു.
ജനുവരി 16 ന് കാസർകോട് ചെറുവത്തൂർ അച്ചാംതുരുത്തി ശ്രീ പാലിച്ചോൻ ദേവസ്ഥാനം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഈ തെയ്യം കാണാവുന്നതാണ്.
Palichon Theyyam
His story is based on folktales and is the story of a person who lived in the region. The story of Palichon Theiyam Deva is about how the local deity helps and a family becomes divine or holy through his selfless act. A shrine is given to the person and theyam is tied annually in his memory.
Palichon Theiyam is a peaceful Theiyam. It has a unique headdress and appearance. There is a weapon in the Theiyam that signifies the warrior quality of Theiyam. Karikolon god Theiyam is also seen along with the god Palachton Theiyat.
