തുരക്കാരത്തി തെയ്യം
കുണ്ടോറ ചാമുണ്ഡിയുടെ പരിവാര ദേവത, തുരം എന്നതിനു പണി എന്നർത്ഥം, മഹാദേവിക്ക്‌ വേണ്ടി തുരം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേവത
വേലരുടെ ഒരു തെയ്യമാണ് കുറത്തി. എന്നാല്‍ കോപ്പാളന്‍, പുലയന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ സമുദായക്കാരും കുറത്തി തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടാറുണ്ട്. കണ്ണൂരിലെ പയ്യന്നൂരിലും മൗവ്വേനിയിലുമുള്ള ചില തറവാടുകളിലെ അങ്കണങ്ങളിൽ തുലാമാസം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതോടെ ഈ തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടുന്നു. പാര്‍വതി ദേവിയുടെ അവതാരമാണ് കുറത്തി. അനേകം കുറത്തിമാരില്‍ പ്രധാനികളായവര്‍ ഇവരാണ് കുഞ്ഞാര്‍ കുറത്തി, പുള്ളിക്കുറത്തി, മലങ്കുറത്തി, തെക്കന്‍ കുറത്തി, സേവക്കാരി എന്നിവര്‍.
Turakarathi Teyam
The attendant deity of Kundora Chamundi, Thuram means work, the deity who performs thuram for Mahadevi.
Kurathi is a Teyya of the Velars. But communities like Kopalan and Pulayan also use Kurathi Teyam. This Theyam is celebrated in the courtyards of some ancestral homes in Payyannoor and Mauvveni in Kannur with the beginning of the month of Libra. Kurathi is an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. Among the many Kurathis, the main ones are Kunjar Kurathi, Pullikurathi, Malankurathi, Southern Kurathi and Sevakari.
